WHAT I’M WEARING
First of all, this entire ensemble makes a perfect travel look. Everything I’m wearing is super comfy and almost feels like pajamas. When I stumbled on these snake-print pants, I knew they had to be in my closet. They are from Evereve and they retail for only $78. The light-weight fabric and versatility make them an easy choice. Add a tee shirt and slides for a casual look or dress them up with a cami and heels. These pants run TTS. I’m wearing a small.
I’m wearing a modal jersey v-neck tee that I picked up on sale for 50% (only $16) and it is the softest one I have found in a long time. It comes in 8 colors so for this price you might grab a few. My black slides are by Sam Edelman ($89) and they come in about 7 colors. I am really loving these sandals and how much I am gravitating towards them.
My straw fedora is by Eric Javits (less expensive here). I like his hats because they are packable/squishable and block UVA/UVB rays. Finally, my sunnies are Le Specs. I adore these, not only because Megan Markle loves them (you can read about that here), but I just think they are chic and cool and the price is great at $69.

MY TOP 25 SUMMER TRAVEL ESSENTIALS:
Many of you know that I was a flight attendant for American Airlines for almost 15 years. I have traveled a good amount in my lifetime (overseas and domestic) and I fancy myself a professional packer. In fact, Don and I were out of town just about every single weekend this past spring attending lacrosse games up and down the east coast. I have packed for a two week European vacation in one carry on! I will admit that was in my EARLY flight attendant days when I was non-reving with my girlfriends. Needless to say, I have a thing or two to say about what you need.
So without further ado, here are my top 25 must have travel essentials sure to make your packing easy and effortless.
1.) A Good Carry On Spinner (Get rid of your roller!)
You should invest in good, solid luggage, preferably hard sided aluminum like this Tumi or this Rimowa. However Calpak makes a gorgeous rose gold or a trunk style one for much less.
2.) A Chic Backpack
This Tumi is on sale for 20% off and I also like this Tumi and this Calpak which is carried by tons of bloggers. If you want a really stylish backpack, this Rag & Bone one is chic, but not sure how travel friendly.
3.) Sunglasses
My favorite sunnies right now are the Le Spec Air Hearts. Next on my list would be the Gold Teardrop Ray-Ban Aviators.
4.) Packable Sunhat
I really like the Eric Javits hats because the block UVA/UVB rays and they are squishable so you can pack them easily.
5.) Sunscreen & Lip Balm
I’m a big fan of Elta MD sunscreen and the new SuperGoop Unseen Sunscreen for face. Coola Liplux Balm has SPF of 30 which is hard to find!
6. Hydrating Facial Spray
I like to spray my face often when I travel to hydrate and refresh, especially on warm, sunny days. There are a few I like…Mario Badescu makes an Aloe/Cucumber/Green Tea and Grace & Stella Makes a Rosewater.
7.) Portable Travel Charger
We take this Anker charger with us EVERYWHERE! It has been a lifesaver when we have needed to charge our devices and there were no outlets to be found. I learned this lesson the hard way…long story. This one is smaller.
8.) Packing Cubes
These packing cubes will keep your packing so organized and neat. Trust me…you need these, plus the rose gold is so pretty and it makes packing fun.
9.) Noise Canceling Headphones
Bose makes the very best ones and I love that they come in Rose Gold! These will drown out the crying babies and anything else that disrupts your enjoyable flight or poolside relaxation.
10.) Travel Shawl
I’m always cold and this is perfect travel shawl for airplane temps, cold restaurants, etc. plus I’m a sucker for anything from Barefoot Dreams.
11.) Travel pillow
I swear by this travel pillow (even though it looks weird) and sleep like a baby on every flight!
12.) Eye Mask
Make sure you are wearing a silk eye mask to protect your delicate eye area.
13.) The Perfect Swimsuit & Cover-Up
Nothing is more flattering than a good black one piece that can double as a body suit! I have also talked about this bikini that is only $25 and looks so flattering and the quality is so good for the price. I’m also loving this $48 coverup that would could double as a duster over some shorts and a tee.
14.) Crossbody Bag
I always travel with a crossbody and have carried this Prada for years and absolutely love it. Cuyana makes a nice one too. Bandolier also makes a handy crossbody phone case perfect for also holding your credit cards.
15.) Black Flat Sandals
I am loving my Sam Edelman flats because they look chic and feel like you are walking on air. I like these by Ancient Greek too.
16.) A Black Maxi Dress
This is the most versatile piece you can pack because you can dress down with sandals or sneakers and then dress up for dinner.
17.) A Pair of Jeans
This jean by Frame is the perfect, ankle length skinny jean that looks great with sandals, sneakers and heels. It is the most versatile jean, a good wash and the one I recommend packing every time you travel.
18.) Basic White Tee
I like this modal tee but I also love the linen v-neck by J. Crew.
19.) A Pair of Denim Shorts
20.) Comfy Sneakers
On the low end, I would go for Adidas. On the high end, grab a pair of Golden Goose.
21.) Complete Facial Cleansing Set
My favorite is the Collen Rothschild 7 Piece Cleansing Set because it has all her best selling products in the perfect travel size bag. It has everything you need to cleanse and moisturize plus it includes a mask and oil. Over $150 in products for $95.
22.) Hydrating Mask
Airplane air is the worst so I wear the Colleen Rothschild Intense Hydrating Mask on EVERY SINGLE FLIGHT! It gives a boost of highly concentrated hydration to tight, dry, rough or dehydrated skin. I LOVE IT!
Collen Rothschild is having a sale right now! COOL SAVINGS: $25 OFF $100 with code: COOL25 – or – $50 OFF $200 with code: COOL50
23.) The BEST Travel Makeup Case
I’ve talked about this travel makeup case many times on my blog. It is large enough to hold all your makeup plus it has removable dividers so you can customize it to your liking.
24.) Travel Mirror
Lighting in hotels is so bad and this little travel mirror is super handy. This one by Superhuman is also good. A travel mirror is a must!
25.) Collagen Travel Packs
I never travel without these Vital Protein Collagen Peptide Travel Packs. Taking collagen every day is a priority for me and I talked about why in my Mind/Body Reset Strategy Post. These are so handy because they are the perfect travel packs.
