Denim on Denim For Fall

Denim on Denim is a fashion trend that keeps coming back season after season. It started on street style blogs but has migrated into women’s and men’s closets as a laid back casual look and even as a refined classic ensemble. Often referred to as ‘Double Denim’ or the ‘Canadian Tuxedo’ (so named because Bing Crosby was denied entrance to a Canadian hotel in 1951 for being in head to toe denim)…this global trend is turning heads left and right.

These days denim is more acceptable than ever and we are wearing it everywhere…from the workplace and even to cocktail parties! I was so excited to share this affordable look with all of you because I think I’ve just found the BEST FITTING, most on trend jean of the season. The matching jacket is a must-have to complete this ensemble that can be worn all year long. Oh, and you won’t believe the price!

Let’s talk about the Express Skyscraper Jeans. They might just be my all time FAVORITE silhouette! First, the fit is impeccable and they will make your legs look a mile long. The Skyscrapers come in 13 different colors plus they are sized petite, regular and long. I’m wearing the Mid Rise Rinse DARK WASH in size 2 Regular.

These are made of premium stretch denim and sit at mid-rise waist, fitted through the hip, thigh and knee with a slight kick at the hem. The split at the inside hem is designed to fit over your favorite heels to give your legs an even longer appearance. I own these jeans in 3 different washes I love them so much! The matching Cropped Trucker Jacket is super chic with just the right amount of stretch and cropped fit. You can keep it simple and wear it buttoned up and solo or layer it over a tank or blouse for an elevated look. I highly recommend picking up this White Tank. White tees are actually a huge trend this season so it’s time to update and this one is super flattering and great quality.
