Good morning ladies! It is just about this time in the season when I start thinking about transitioning my winter wardrobe to spring. While blacks, greys and winter whites are the obvious choices in the colder months, winter pastels are trending and they will take you seamlessly into early spring. Thinking about incorporating these gorgeous colors into your wardrobe? Today I’ve got 4 style tips to help you wear winter pastels NOW.

4 Stylish Tips For Wearing Winter Pastels

1. Create a high impact look with one pastel piece.

Sometimes, all you need is one pastel piece. In the case of winter, I recommend making that one statement piece your jacket or coat. Whether you’re wearing a blazer, faux fur or trendy puffer, go for powdery pink, baby blue, lavender or cool mint. These lighter, beautiful, happy shades will work well into the spring months when it is still cool but you want to dress for the season.

2. Pair your pastels with light colored denim, winter white or soft grey.

Don’t make the mistake of wearing pastels with dark colors or even dark denim. All shades of pastels look the very best and even pop against light denim, winter white or the softest shade of grey.

3. Wear a neutral shoe or boot.

Neutral shoes tend to blend best with a pastel color palette. If you are wearing a pump, opt for a silver metallic, nude or grey color. Boots or booties can be winter white, grey or even a fun animal print like a neutral grey and white snake print.

4. Carry a light colored handbag.

Your handbag choice with winter pastels should be one that also works year round. Grey, light tan (nude) and silver are perfect colors to pair with pastels that won’t detract from your outfit.

Outfit Details:

Moto Jacket: A leather moto jacket is a must-have for every off-duty wardrobe, and this gorgeous mauve rose pastel one from BB Dakota is just about as classic as it gets. It is faux so the price is only $98. It can be dressed up or down and I plan on wearing it over all my spring ensembles. Runs TTS, wearing Small.

High Rise Jeans: These are the Olivia by Citizens of Humanity. This pair has an ultra slimming high rise, a faded wash that will transition well into spring and summer and a perfect dose of ’90s style. Runs slightly small, wearing 27.

Snake Print Boots: My actual boots are J. Crew from last season and I cannot locate them anywhere. However, there are so many similar options including these for 55% off and these on sale too. If I didn’t already own a pair of snake print, I would purchase these because I own them in black and LOVE!

Handbag: I invested in this Prada handbag several years ago and I will never part with it. Here is a similar one for so much less. Also, I think this tote is gorgeous for a ‘steal’ look.
