Holiday Outfits For All Your Events
These days most any look goes unless an invitation says ‘BLACK TIE’. So whether you’re trying to look professional but cute at your office party, or festive and chic at an evening holiday soirée, these holiday outfit ideas won’t steer you wrong. The most important thing is to have fun with your looks and wear what makes YOU feel beautiful and confident! Aside from the expected LBD, here are my top 5 outfit formulas sure to have you looking holiday ready for the season.
5 Formulas For The Perfect Holiday Outfit:
1. The Tailored Suit
In my opinion, there is nothing more chic than a feminine suit. I just feel like a boss babe when I wear one. This time of year, you can find so many gorgeous suits in velvet, sequin and metallics. What I love most about suiting is that you can break these pieces up and wear your blazer with jeans and your pants with a beautiful silk blouse or sweater.
2. The Velvet Dress
Holiday outfits scream for anything velvet and for your fanciest Christmas soirées, a velvet dress is the perfect option for a weather-appropriate, yet stylish outfit. Opt for a red, burgundy, or deep green color, and keep everything else simple.
3. Festive Top & Skinny Jeans
Pull out your favorite skinny jeans or opt for a metallic pair in gold, silver or red. Whatever you decide, pairing these with a festive and shimmery top will have you ready for just about any event this season including that office party, an ornament exchange or even that elusive White Elephant gift exchange.
4. The Sequin Dress
A sequin dress is definitely for dancing the night away, so if you’re off to a Christmas cocktail party or black tie event, you should dress the part in a sequin number. Pair this look with strappy heels, a metallic clutch and statement earrings.
5. Designer Jeans and A Faux Fur
Many invitations that I receive say ‘holiday festive’ as the dress code. I interpret this as ‘carte blanche’ to pull out my very favorite jeans and pair them with a faux fur jacket. A red, green or black faux fur with this silver crystal belt couldn’t be any more festive! You’ll turn Santa-hat-wearing heads while being oh so comfortable (and warm!).

Outfit Details:
This stunning burgundy velvet suit is perfect for all your after five events. This modern look by W by WORTH is fit for the holiday party circuit and I’m completely obsessed with this rich color. The blazer has a satin lapel and satin covered buttons and is meant to be slightly oversized. I’ll be breaking these pieces up and wearing them as separates as well. This blazer looks fantastic with jeans! As I mentioned earlier, wearing a suit makes me feel confident and ready to take on the world! Details: Toni Blazer ($498) and Toni Pants ($358); wearing a size 6 in jacket (altered to fit correctly) and size 2 in pants.
My lace bralette is by Hanky Panky ($68) and cranberry is the perfect complementing shade. The lace gives a tender vibe to this outfit. A gold metallic clutch ($99) is a must during the holiday season and I use mine on repeat. I wear these crystal sandals ($101) with all my holiday looks.
Lip Color:
I always get questions about my lip color and this combination is so pretty for the holidays. It is exactly what I’m wearing in my photos! Start with Chanel Lip Definer in Rough Profond. Then use Smashbox Lip Stain in Big Spender…this formulation stays on forever! Finish with a touch of Dior Gloss in Diorama. If you want a gorgeous true red, go for Mac Ruby Woo.
